This download is for a Personal Learning Checklist (PLC) for the Moral Philosophy section of the new AQA Philosophy specification (AS-level).
It features a double-sided worksheet, focussed on a checklist with all of the topics listed for this section of the course in the AQA Philosophy Specification (7171).
The .zip file contains a Word document: so the resource is fully customisable.
On the reverse of the sheet are other useful measures that allow teachers to gauge a student's confidence and reflective abilities.

The first side is a PLC with two ways for the student to rate confidence and the second side features a key-word check as well as various DIRT tasks.

This resource is designed for the new AQA Philosophy Specification (7171) [AS-Level]
It covers the ‘Applied Ethics’ component of the course.

The download is a .zip file containing 8 PPTs and 10 worksheets (all editable) and an instructional guide outlining how the course should be delivered (a simple SoW/guide to the lessons). The .zip file maintains the order of the files so that very little preparation or planning is necessary.
The course is very much student-led; encouraging independent research skills and engagement with the issues.
It is designed to be used, ideally, after teaching of normative/meta-ethical theories has been completed so that students can apply their knowledge to the issues listed in the specification.

This printable workbook is suitable for homework, classwork or distance learning: it will help your students to get more from watching documentaries and videos. This colourful printable booklet includes ten learning sessions spread over twenty pages. You could also just print a couple of pages from this workbook to create a worksheet for an instant video-learning lesson: ideal for cover lessons!
This teaching resource is designed for GCSE Religous Studies and refers to the religion of Sikhism. The workbook is suitable for all specifications and is designed for the ‘Beliefs / Teachings / Practices’ component of GCSE Religious Studies courses.
The workbook includes links to ten different documentaries or lengthily videos and straight-forward note-taking and comprehension activities so as to structure and foster engagement with the documentary whilst enhancing student learning. The videos refer to a broad range of topics relevant to the study of the religion.
The twenty-page workbook was designed with homework in mind and contains ten different homework sessions. I would suggest using the booklets as a simple way to take care of ‘every other homework’ and use it to supplement your other approaches to homework: just print the booklets out and give them to your students. You can also use the booklets just as well in a classroom setting and they are incredibly easy to use such that even a non-specialist cover-teacher could make use of them. They’re also an ideal way to bolster your distance learning provisions in times of student absence.
Over time some of the links in this workbook may expire, I’ll try to update them from time to time but the workbook is easy to edit - so make sure you check that the links still work before printing and update any broken/defunct links that might crop-up! This lesson focuses on Sacred Spaces in Hinduism:
• The nature and importance of sacred places and spaces for Hindu worship:
• Temples
• Shrines
• Sites of pilgrimage
• Outdoors
• Hills and rivers
• The purpose and practice of pilgrimage
• Sites of pilgrimage, including varanasi and the river Ganges, and the purpose of pilgrimage to different sites
• The significance of pilgrimage and practices for Hindus, and their relationship to the different yogas
• The importance of darshan and the different forms it can take in relation to murti, holy people and sites of holy places
• Common and divergent emphases given to the sources of wisdom and authority by different Hindi groups
• Different interpretations and emphases given to sources of wisdom and authority by different Hindu groups
